Here’s a bit of summer for you…  A ruby-throated Hummingbird that I photographed while on vacation in northern Maine on June 2, 2009.

    Philip, I really like your photos. Are they point and shoot or do you manually focus your shots? What ever way you take these pictures they are really great.

    Gail, thanks for the compliments. If I remember correctly, I manually focused this shot. I used my digital SLR on a tripod with a 400mm lens. Getting this shot took some effort, but it would have been extremely difficult with just a point-and-shoot camera.
